Aspects of Exmoor

Seasons

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

This gallery is intended to present the face of Exmoor through the varying seasons of the year.
It first begins with a series of snow scenes. Exmoor usually gets at least some snow each year
but the coastal towns and villages often get very little and only the higher ground tends to get
any real depth. These photographs have been collected over a number of years, although most
are from the 2009/10 and 2010/1 winters which were harder than in other recent years.

I have then tried to present some views for each season in turn, which may include additional
snow scenes when they has occurred in spring but have also tried to show that the sun does
shine and the seasons can be as varied as anywhere else in the UK.
